North of Kaikoura there is a large colony of fur seals which can be observed from good viewing positions. Nursery pools of large numbers of pups and lively activity amongst the bull kelp in the Pacific swell.The contrast between the 'adolescents' sparring and the snoozing seal in the foreground inspired this painting and the title! Original sold.
